EXPERIENCE
Due to the sensitive nature of the work involved, we do not disclose our clients’ details, but examples of the types of work undertaken by the Group are as follows:
- Defending High Court injunction applications sought by employees to restrain the termination of employment and/or disciplinary action
- Obtaining High Court injunctions for employers seeking to protect company confidential information unlawfully removed by employees
- Defending claims for personal injury and occupational illness/stress/bullying and harassment
- Defending deemed employment claims
- Advocacy at the Workplace Relations Commission and Labour Court in litigation relating to statutory employment claims, as well as industrial relations issues
- Advising on the management/processing of whistleblowing/protected disclosure investigations
- Providing employment law advice and support on some of Ireland's largest corporate transactions
- Advising regulated financial service providers on issues of fitness and probity and the Individual Accountability Framework in relation to senior employees
- High Court injunction applications to restrain unlawful picketing by employees and their trade unions, advising on disputes on recognition issues and collective bargaining, as well as claims in relation to pay and conditions

We have a dedicated Professional Support Lawyer to ensure we are up to date on all of the latest developments in the area of employment law and the market trends impacting our wide and varied client base. We also provide bespoke training sessions to clients on key employment issues specific to their workplace and to the sectors in which they operate.
The Group works closely with other practice groups within the firm, such as our Pensions Group, Technology and Innovation Group, Tax Group and Health & Safety Group in relation to employment law matters that require other specialist inputs.
