GENDER BALANCE IN BUSINESS SURVEY ORDER 2025

The Department of the Taoiseach published S.I. No. 95 of 2025 Statistics (Gender Balance in Business Survey) Order 2025 (96.8 KB) which mandates certain undertakings to provide information to the Central Statistics Office for the purpose of compiling statistics on gender representation in senior executive teams and boards of directors of large enterprises in Ireland.

The Order applies to undertakings with 250 or more employees operating within specified industry sectors, as classified under the NACE Statistical Classification of Economic Activities (NACE Revision 2.1).

In-scope undertakings must provide specified information as of 1 January 2025, in relation to their senior executive team and board of directors, including any targets for female representation on the senior executive team.
